Hey Don,
I've had contact with you before, but I have been doing additional research on the Wax family in Ohio, and will share the following info with you.

Jonathan and Mathias were brothers, their father was Henry (Heinrich) Wax, and their mother was Catherine Clay (Klee/Kleh). Mathias first married Barbara Clay (Klee,Kleh) around 1830 and had two children, Mary Ann 1831 and Elizabeth 1833 both born in Pa. Barbara died around 1835 and Mathias married Martha ? about 1838. They had the following children: Saloma 1839, Merida 1842, Hannah 1844, John 1846, Charles 1/1850, George 1854, Peter 1856 and James 11/1857. I believe that all of their children were born in Ohio. Martha was born in Virginia and married in Ohio. Jonathan married Linda Cottrell in May of 1841 in Miami County, Ohio. They had the following children: Francis Marion (Male) 1841, William 1844 and James 1849). Jonathan was living in Ohio in the 1850 census, and in Iowa in the 1860, 1870, and 1880 census. Mathias was living in Ohio in the 1850 and 1860 census, and in Missouri in the 1870 and 1880 census. I've done a lot of research on the entire Wax clan with assistance from numerous Wax family members in Pennsylvania. Hope this helps you a bit.
