Luther F. "Texas" Watts
Luther F. "Texas" Watts was my greatgrandfather. In the only three census I have for him states that he born 1849/50 could be in Texas or Missouri. His father born Tennessee and his mother Georgia/Virginia
Luther F. "Texas" Watts died 29 Oct 1920 Greer County, OK.
Luther told his children that when he was 16 his parents had died and his siblings were fighting over their parents things. Luther got try of this saddle his horse rode away and never told anyone anything more. In 1920s a sister came to see him in OK but no one knows her name. My grandfather told that his father say they Black Dutch. Could he mean Indian????. Luther was in life time he was Cowboy, Farmer and Teacher. Being Teacher makes wonder just how much he could read and write.
In one of the Census Luther said that he was married twice. I did find him in 1880
