There may be American Indian and mixed race ancestors
of the descendents of Richard Watts and Sarah StubblefieldOne of their daughters, Sarah Watts Sheafor movedfrom Washington Co. KY to Butler Co., OH between 1810 & 1815. Her older sister, Elizabeth Watts Garshwiler Beadles and her family moved to Johnson Co., INbefore 1847. Some of her children remained in Johnson Co. where they were joined in about 1861 by a nephew, Beverly James Dickerson, Jr., the son of her sister, Nancy Watts Dickerson.
Richard Watts is thought to be part of a large VA Watts family although there is some disagreement as to who his father was. Not much is known about Sarah Stubblefield, her ancestors have not been identified. They had 6 known children, the youngest, Frances Watts Murray, died young and her children lost contact with their Watts relatives so that she was added to the family as a result of a message board post by one of her descendents.
There may have been more children of this couple who haven't been found.
