Hi Judy,
According to our records, Jacob and Millie did not have a Samuel and to my knowledge, the only Jacob was Jacob Hudson. They had a Moses who was b 1812, probably in GA. Indications are that Millie's father, Issac Hollingsworth was living near them in GA at that time. It might be possible that Samuel Jacob was a nephew of Jacob and Millie and like the Hollingsworths, moved from the Carolinas with them. Sometime, prob. in the 1830's, most of Jacob and Millie's family moved to what was then Talladega County Alabama. Later that area was incorporated into what is now Clay County Alabama. I do not have information on all of Jacob and Millie's children except for names and dob, but I believe that some of the Watts did move from The Talladega/Clay County area into Winston and Cullman Counties. Evidence also exist that there were several apparently unrelated lines of Watts moving into Alabama in the early 1800's. We have no information past Jacob and Millie's father, Issac. I can drop files to you. e-mail me at [email protected] if interested.
Milton
