Hi Geoff
My gggrandfather was John WATTERSON who came to New Zealand on the 'Lady Nugent', arr Pt Nicholson 17 Mar 1841 from Perth, SCT. I have always thought that he was related to someone from IOM as late 1800s/early 1900s a relative arr at his grandson's farm and while there gave the eldest daughter an IOM badge. My family were friends of a Mr Quayle from IOM in Wellington, NZ, in the 1930s and I have heard he had a friend by the name of Joe Watterson. My lot dropped one T from their name in NZ.
