Amy.
Half of the population of the Southern part of the Isle of Man are Wattersons!
My maternal grandfather came from thePort Erin region and his father was a member of the Tynwald for the Island.
The name was Thomas William Watterson and he left the Isle to live in Liverpool about 1850. I am searching for the rest of the family including any brothers that he may have had. While in Liverpool, Thomas worked as a Carpenter and married my maternal grandmother Annie May Cooper from Cheshire.
They had two boys and three girls. most born in Liverpool The two boys, were Walter and Robert. Walter was a farmer and a cotton broker in the Lancashire region while Rober lived in Manchester and was an accountant and worked for Rolls Royce at Crewe.I have lost track of their children as Iwas born to one of the daughters who married a Heath and emigrated to USA shortly after WWI, though I have lived nearly all my life in UK.
Any use to you?
Terry Heath
