BIO: " Hannah" the wife of John Smith 1696, was pos. a Waters. per E Siegel. Hannah's sister
was Mary Waters (who was married to William Waters). William Waters was executor of will of Hannah's
husband, John Smith. However, William Waters is said to have had only one sister, Elizabeth Waters b.
1722, d. 12/29/1771, therefore Hannah Smith's maiden name is not known. per Gen Mag of NJ v. 46, No.
2, W No. 173.
Hannah married John Smith son of Thomas Smith and Susannah Matthews. John was born in 1699 in Maidenhead Twp, Burlington Co, Nj. He died on 19 Apr 1748 in Maidenhead Twp, Burlington Co, Nj. He was buried in Upper Burying Gr, Maidenhead, Lawrenceville ,Nj.

BIO: John and Hannah his wife admitted to the Presbyterian Church of Maidenhead on 9/12/1734. Probably Hannah's sister was Mary, the wife of William Waters, and a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church. John Smith's will calls William Waters his brother-in-law and names him
executor. Will of John Smith of Maidenhead, yoeman, dated 3/1/1747/1748, and proved 5/4/1748,
names wife Hannah, bequeaths to son John the plantation, when he becomes of age, at which time
Hannah was to remove to the house and plantation on the west side of Five Mile Run, which latter
plantation was left to son Thomas. Devises to dau.s Mary, Elizabeth, Susannah, Hannah, Sarah, and

Sarah married Andrew Davison son of William Davison 2d and first wife before 1760. Andrew was born about 1728 in Tennent, Monmouth Co,Nj. He died after 1788 in Fayette Co,Pa.
5 M iii. Thomas Smith patriot was born on 23 May 1743 in England. He died on 17 Oct 1799 in Freehold,Monmouth Co,Nj. He was buried in Old Tennent Cem,Nj.
Thomas married Sarah Green daughter of Joseph Green 1st and Elizabeth Ann Mershon on 25 Jan 1764 in Hunterdon Co,Nj. Sarah was born on 19 Aug 1744 in Trenton,Hunterdon Co,Nj. She died on 15 Nov 1801 in Freehold,Monmouth Co,Nj. She was buried in Old Tennent Cem, Nj.
