I am new to the geneology world, and have a verbal family tree that I would like help verifying and completing. Any information, or just advice on where to look and how to look would be appreciated. Here is what I have to start with, again a verbal family history. Harry Austin Watt (28 Oct 1880 - 5 Jan 1946) married Anna Delilah Hagerty, (3 Mar 1887 - 3 Feb 1951) (also spelled Haggerty) on 3 Jul 1904. They had 17 children and lived in New Castle, PA. His father was William P. Watt 12 Nov 1857 - 30 Sep 1926 and he married Anna Palmer, 25 Aug 1857 - 13 Nov 1918, and they had 5 sons, Harry being the oldest. The second son's given name was Calvin Perry, which he detested, and had changed to William P. Jr. was born 4 Oct 1882. The youngest son was James H. Watt 15 Oct 1889 - 15 May 1935. His father was James Watt dob unk. They had 10 children, William was the second. James Jr. was the oldest. I have most of the children's names for the above families, and can list them if that is helpful, but also have holes. Have a few birth dates, but missing many. James came to Western Penna from Canada and settled near Edenburg, PA. The entire family line remained in the Western Penna area, seemingly centered in the New Castle area. Where do I start - ?? First thing I would really like to do is verify that the info I am starting with is accurate. Then would like to fill in the holes and maybe trace the line further back. I know there are a lot of James Watts everywhere I look, and not sure how to filter through them to maybe find the one(s) I want. Thank you for taking the time to read this and any help will certainly be appreciated and most welcomed. Larry Watt Notify Administrator about this message?
