Christian Advocate and Journal, November 3, 1864. WILLIAM WATT died in Red Bank, N.J., August 12, aged 27. At the breaking out of the war he felt it his duty to enter the service of his country. He had but recently been converted and joined the Methodist Church on probation, but he nobly preserved his Christian integrity. He was severely injured near Suffolk and from his injury he never recovered. His faith was strong and constant..when too weak almost to articulate, he spoke of himself as the happiest man alive. Intelligent and pious, a dutiful son, the hope and stay of an aged and widowed mother, his loss is deeply felt, but the end of human life was well accomplished and he " sleeps in Jesus". I.D. King. ------ [ this is not my family, only post from the wonderful old Journals.] Notify Administrator about this message?
