Hi, I am trying to trace my husbands family who believe they are related to James Watt the inventor.

My mother in law was Grace Watt Brown born in Lesmahagow, Scotland & I have traced her family back to William Watt, born in Lanark in 1838. His wife was Elizabeth Bertram. His parents are William Watt & Jean or Jane McNair both born around 1811 in Lanark.

Does anyone have any history or knowledge of this family?
