WATSONS FROM FAYETTE CO. OHIO, NOT PA
Looking for descendants or information regarding John Watson (b. 1805) in Fayette Co., PA.About 1854, John moved his family to Marion Twp., Fayette Co., OH, where they were believed to be farmers or farm laborers, who lived on the farms of their employers. (Yes, 2 different Fayette counties!)
John Watson (b. 1805) married Elizebeth Talbert (b. 1812, d.1873), and had children Nancy (b.1839), Mary Jane (b.1840), James (b.1842), Sarah (b.1844), Hannah(b.1846), Eliza Ann (b.1848), John (b.1850), and Ewing (or Edwin) (b.1852).
Sarah was never married, thus, her children were given the Watson surname. Today, this area is known as New Holland, OH, just SE of Washington Court House, OH.Any information would be greatly appreciated.
