Charles Watson 6/24/05
I am descended from the immigrant James Watson who arrived in Virginia on the prison ship Elizabeth and Ann. He was a Jacobite captured in the Battle of Preston. He lived in Louisa Co and some of his children moved to Abermarle County.
His daughter Mary married David Wood who was the son of James Wood of Louisa Co. I have reason to believe that James Wood was also a prisoner on the Elizabeth and Ann.
Charles, you said that you were descended from James Wood Watson. This makes me feel that you also may be descended from James Wood and James Watson, the immigrant. There is a lot of information available for both of these families.
