I thank you for your reply. In Greenville county SC,1850 census has Rebecca 52 SC, Mary 16 SC, Thomas 14 SC, George 3 SC. Her husband is gone. You can see the census on line at Greeville Genweb or at Heritage Quest page M432-853-382,living close to other relatives. People in Greenville county believe she married a Edward Watson. But I can not seem to find what family he is from. With George being three, he couldn't have been gone long. She passed on before 1860. They say she is buried at the Crain Burial Grounds by her parents in the Highland Dist.. Also believe she has more children. Alot of the Crane family history comes from the journal of Alice Mitchell Crain Hawkins, Oct 29 1935. Some of it is on line at the 16th SC co. "D", also in Reece Hawkins book " Grandmother Alice, Memoirs from the Home Front".
