Hi,
I'm the project coordinator/administrator for the Watson DNA project at Family Tree DNA.Thanks Mark for suggesting that Watsons with Colonial American heritage join this project! In fact, as we've discussed in email, the project is really open to anyone (male, of course) with the Watson surname. We can always sort groups out after we get the DNA results, but since our ancestors did tend to move around unpredictably, but most Watsons originated in the British Isles, it's worth collecting as much data as possible. We might find all kinds of unexpected relationships, who knows?
A simpler URL to view the project page and possibly join the project is http://www.ftdna.com/public/watsonhttp://www.ftdna.com/public/watsonMy email address is available there if you want to discuss the project with me directly.
We'd be happy to have you participate!
Cheers,
Katherine "Kat" Watson Cochrane
Watson DNA project coordinator
