Your Robert Herman Watlington had a brother, William P., who also came to Bowie Co, TX before 1870. William P. had a son, Abisha Slade Watlington, who married a GG Aunt of mine, Frances "Fannie" Lynch. I have done some research for my Watlington cousins on their Watlington families.
Also, Robert Herman wrote a book about life in early Bowie Co, TX, that I have used in my research of Old Boston, the county seat from 1840 to 1880's. All my family lived at Old Boston from 1861.
Will share all your Watlington info with my Watlington cousins and can send you a listing of all of William P.'s descendants if you want.
