I am looking for any additional biographical info on the above man. This is all I have on him. Company F was recruited mainly out of Marion County, Alabama.

J. W. Watley
Admitted to Camp Winder Hospital on September 23, 1862. Wounded in action at Chancellorsville and admitted to #9 Hospital and transferred to Chimbarazo on May 13, 1863.

Did he survive the War? Was he wounded? When and where did he die? When and where was he born? Is there is a photo out there of him? What does the initials mean? Any info would be great.
