JAMES FRANKLIN WATKINS
Norman, July 11: Services for JAMES FRANKLIN WATKINS, 76, former state hospital employee here, will be Thursday in Trinity Baptist Church. Burial is to be in Lexington under direction of Primrose funeral home. A native of Tennessee, Mr. Watkins came to Oklahoma in 1907. After living in Texas County several years, Watkins moved to Norman in 1938. He was an employee of the state hospital here until illness forced his retirement three years ago. He is survived by his wife, MINNIE MAE, of the house; three sons, VIRGIL WATKINS of Fort Worth; RALPH WATKINS of Pittsburg, California, JAMES FRANKLIN WATKINS Jr. of Boseman, Montana; a daughter, Mrs. MARGARET MAY LEWIS of Richmond, California; two brothers, ANDREW WATKINS of Jefferson City, Tennessee and JOHN WATKINS of Tulsa; and three sisters, Mrs. LENA ODELL of Newkirk, Mrs. VIRGINIA CHASE of Jefferson City, Tenn., and Mrs. JULIA HERSHBARGER of Norman.
