I am looking for a Thomas Waters who was in Marion County, SC in the early 1800s. Below is all I have on him. 1) 1790 Marion County, SC Census, there was a Thomas Waters (age 16+) living with two females. 2) February 27, 1795, John and Elizabeth Saunders sold 200 acres of land to Enos Tart in Marion County, SC. The land adjoined that of Hardy Crawford and the deed was witnessed by Enos' son John Tart and another individual named THOMAS WATERS. 3) April 7, 1804, a dower relinquishment was made for the earlier deed above. Witnesses were John Tart and THOMAS WATERS. 4) 1810 Marion County, SC Census, there was no listing for this Thomas Waters. Thomas Waters was born before 1774 and died between 1804-1810. He may be related to James Andrew Waters, Sr. who was in Marion County, SC by 1785. Thomas may have fathered three children; possibly boys. Following his death, his widow may have run a boarding house to support the family. Thanks, Gail Waters Notify Administrator about this message?
