Hi Shawn!
Greetings from Stroud, a small town in Gloucestershire, England. We are actually only about twenty five miles from the American Airforce base at Fairford. I lay in bed on Thursday night listening to the air traffic passing overhead, someone said this was more B52s to add to what is already there (it's usually very quiet). The same thing happened just before the Gulf war broke out, so I guess something big is about to happen.
The Watchorns are indeed spread around the world. A quick look at any search engine does show a lot of musical activity. My son, William, is a marvellous clarinet player, so it might be in the genes. I can only strum the guitar 'though! If you wade through all the Watchorn references on this site you will find a lot of information about the name, but the total number of web pages is over 5000. When America sent the 'liberty' ships to Britain during the second world war one was named the 'Robert Watchorn'.
Pleased to hear from you. God Bless America!
Barry Watchorn.
