Hi Julie!
Thank you for making contact! Purely by coincidence I have only today returned from taking my 94 year old father-in -law to visit his 96 year old sister, and we stayed at the Travel lodge at the clearly signed Watchorn roundabout, Alfreton, near the Watchorn Memorial church.Robert W. was certainly the town's benefactor, and actually owned the Watchorn Oil Co. in Oklahoma before selling up and going into politics. He is the classic rags to riches story, poor pit boy to millionaire.
I am very interested indeed in your branch which goes back so far. Mine is only provable back to about 1700.
Barry
