Hi, sorry it has taken me so long to follow up.The family trees on Ancestry.com are confused, as you said, about your Daniel's birth place. The first one that was listed, however, placed his bith in Ireland in 1760.That would make him about 16 years old at the start of the Rev. War, and, that might fit. They think he married Esther Elizabeth Orrey and they gave birth to 3 or 4 sons, James in 1786, Daniel in 1790, William in 1791, and, Joseph in 1792.She d. and was b. in Scrubgrass, Venango, PA, USA 6 May 1813.Joseph d. that same year, and, was buried in the Scott-Wasson cemetery. The owner of the trees seemed to know the most about William, who had 2 wives, consecutively, and 16 children in all.He d. in St. Louis, Mo. 11 May 1864.No clear statement about Daniel's Parents was available on ancestry.com, and, I found even less helpful information on new.familysearch.org.I tried searches for both Elizabeth and Daniel, with no conclusive result.Sorry.Best luck in your searching--if nothing else, does this yield a believable birth date for Daniel?I hope so--Beth Ballantyne
