I have a genforum message from a lady named Margaret that I received back in Jan. of 2000. She says that Archibald Wasson came to Old Rowan Co., NC from Chester Co., PA. She takes this from Carolina Crade: Settlement of NW Carolina Frontier 1747-1762 by Robert Ramsey of Univ. of NC Press, Chapel Hill, NC 1964. She says Archibald's son Joseph, Sr. was the Rev. War vet who took 4 balls of gunshot, one of which stayed in him 40 years to the day and he removed from NC to Wayne Co., IN. This info she took from History of Wayne Co., IN book by Andrew Young, Cincinnati, Robert Clark and Co., 1872. I believe I am descended through Joseph, Jr. and Sarah's son Samuel Wasson(1746-1826) to his son Samuel Josiah Wasson (1780-1849) and wife Artimessa Bone (1785-1844). Their son William Bone Wasson (1813-1874) was my gggrandfather. I am very interested in any information you have on the early members of this line. My line moved to Alabama from NC.
