I did not know that Samuel Wass Sr was a Reverend. My great grandfather's mother was Elizabeth Wass, daughter of Samuel Sr and Phebe. My great grandfather had an old yellowed scrap of paper saying
"Grandfather Wass came to America in 1818, went to Indiana in 1865"
"Grandmother Wass was born at Belper, England in 1790; died in Indiana,
January 29,1884, aged 93 years, 2 mos. and 6 days"

I also found on the LDS Family Search a record stating:

FamilySearch® International Genealogical Index™ v4.01 British Isles
IGI Record

Phebe WARD
Sex: F

Birth: 23 Nov 1790
Derby, England

Father: Robert Whitehall WARD
Mother: Dorothy YOUNG

Source Information:
Film Number: 2034396

Her father's name sounds like the name of a lord. Belper is a town in Derbyshire.

How nice to find a couple of Wass offsprings, the first I have found.
