Hi Fiona,
Your g/m was born in Scotland, but do you know if her father or grandfather were born in Donegal, Ireland.
My great-grandfather was James Wason, of Donegal (born c 1836). I have some information on his family. I believe he had a brother John Wason who was married twice. His first wife was Eliza Algeo. Apart from the spelling of Algeo/Auldjo, this would match your Margaret Fraser Wason's grandparents.
So if you have your g-g-gf born in Donegal, then I might be 3rd cousins with one of your parents.
