Charles WASMUTH

Hello,

Charles WASMUTH came to the United States in 1849 from Germany (Prussia). I have heard several places mentioned where he was born (Bavaria, Achen). Oral history says that he immigrated to Philadelphia.

He later moved to Eagle River Michigan. He married Sophia WEHLING I think in 1855 but not sure where. He also filed a declaration of Intention in Eagle River, Houghton County, Michigan in 1853. Several children were born in Eagle River including my great grandmother, Theresa WASMUTH.

Charles WASMUTH and his family moved to Neguanee, Michiga and lived there the rest of his life. Theresa married Alfred MCCOMBER in 1878

Charles WASMUTH married Sophia WEHLING where?

Thanks,

Diane
