I have just come across your family while researching my family who also have strong SW Wisconsin roots.

In census data I found David Wasley marrying Hannah Buckett with several children: William Henry, Delia, Olive, Hazel, Esther, Hannah, Clara, Homer David, Clarence, Marvin and Dora Fern. I assume you are descended from one of these, right?

Hannah Buckett was born 03 Nov 1862 in Linden, Iowa Co., Wisconsin and died 03 Nov 1862 in Linden, Iowa Co., Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Esther Ann Johns 1837 - 1915 and William Buckett 1828 - 1899, among 7 children. In turn Esther Ann Johns was the daughter of Henry Johns 1804 - 1882 and Susan Pierce 1813 - 1898. Henry Johns was the brother of William Johns who is my ggg grandfather.

I have a lot on the Johns, though not a lot on the Johns' that stayed in Wisconsin. My line went to California for the gold rush and stayed there. I have lots on that line. I also have information on the family's background in Cornwall and have visited the church where many were baptised.

Do we have things to share?

Barry
