Laish, I am very interested in the Mariah you mention as James' second wife. Do you have any information concerning her after James' death? Another poster suggests he died in ca. 1797. I think she may be the "widow Washburn" who is said to have married my 5th great grandfather Samuel Averill as his second (or possibly third) wife. Does this match any traditions in your family?
