Virginia R. Bachman, 80, of 3568 Bethlehem Road, Bethlehem Township, Pa., died Friday, January 17,
in Kirkland Village in Bethlehem.
Born June 26, 1916 in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Marshall M. Washburn and Helen Raub Washburn.
She was a member of Palmer Moravian Church in Palmer Township.
She was a 1932 graduate of Wilson High School.
She was a member of the Northampton Country Club.
She and her husband Walter E. "Bud" Jr., observed their 56th Wedding anniversary in October.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Barbara G. Burcik of Hatfield, Pa., a son, Walter
E. III of Stratford, Pa., a sister Marge Minier of Bath and six grandchildren.
Her stepmother, Florence, a brother George, and a sister Lillian Shupp all died earlier.
Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Church, John street and Moravian Ave., Palmer Township.
There will be no calling hours.
Burial will be private in Northampton Memorial Shrine in Palmer Township.
The Ashton Funeral Home 14th and Northampton Streets, Easton, is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests memorials to the church, Palmer, P.A. 18045.
