My name is Joshua Washburn, Born March 9th, 1977 in Sherman, Texas.
I am the son of Philip S. Washburn born May 2nd, 1952; he is the son of Paul Washburn, he is no longer living, I do not know his DOB. I know that there are a passel of Washburn's from in and around Grayson County, Texas. I know that there was a Samuel S. Washburn married to Mary Elizabeth Washburn who was killed in 1838(1839). These folks came from Barry County, Missouri and moved to take hold of land granted to them. I know that my grandfather had relatives in the St. Louis area and it is possible that my father was born in Missouri, however it is possible that my grandfather was born in Grayson County, Texas (in and around Pink Hill, Texas).
I am trying to trace my roots. I want to know how far back I can go. See what roots I have in England, Europe too.
If you can help me out I would love any and all information.
My grandfather had three children: Steve, Philip and Becky. I am married to Jennifer Elizabeth Washburn (maiden name: Peer).
I have a brother Jacob S. Washburn born January 8th, 1979. My mother is Phyllis Washburn born in July of 1955 (I think).
I am more interested my father's genealogy right now.
