Heather, I assume that you know this, but I will repeat it in case you don't have all the facts. Charles Washburn married Lydia Livingston on 25 Apr 1807 in Bracken Co., KY. They were married by Peter Hastings. This per Bracken County Marriage Record, p. 135. The marriage bond, which is on file in Bracken County, states that the bond was filed by Charles Washburn and David Livingston on 22 Apr 1807. The bond does not state the relationship of David Livingston to Lydia Livingston. This marriage is also confirmed in "Bracken County Marriages and Bonds, 1797-1859", Bracken County Historical Society, p. 207. Since my wife is a Washburn with ancestors in Bracken Co., KY, we went there this May so I could review records. For years I had thought that my father-in-law was from this Washburn line (John and Susannah from Harrison and Culpeper counties in VA) but recent DNA Y-chromosome analysis proves his Washburns in Bracken county were related to another Washburn line. I have a lot of data on your line, but very little documented proofs. I am hesitant to pass on data that I have not been able to verify. Thanks, Howard Notify Administrator about this message?
