I too am a relative of Cyril through my father who was Henry Arthur Washbrook, a first cousin. His father was named Thomas Henry who worked as a stableman at Paddington railway station. I don't know where he was born, but he married Ellen Phoebe Ottaway on August 5th 1899 and the went to Oxford to work, also for the railway. My grandmother was born in Costessy, Norfolk and went into service as a kitchen maid in London. I hope this might give you and any other Washbrooks out there some help in tracing your relatives.
