Permeila Wash was the daughter of Benjamin Wash and Jemima Peyton Wash. Benjamin Wash and Jemima Peyton were of Amherst Co., Va.Benjamin left a will 1819 Washington Co., Ky.Later some of his land was on the border of Washington and Anderson Counties, Ky. This will gave all negroes, real and personal estate to his son John Peyton Wash to receive all his estate except, son Banjamin, and two daughters names not named to each to receive a shilling.
Jemima Peyton Wash will written 1819 in Franklin Co., Ky., but was proved 1840, Anderson Co., Ky. Will Bk A, p. 56 in Anderson Co Ky. She named son, John Peyton Wash, son, Benjamin Peyton Wash, daughter Permelia Mc Kee, daughter Nancy McClure, grandson, George Peyton, and granddaughter, Eupha Elliott.
