I noted your discussion of the Warthen line, specifically Martin Warthen. I believe Martin was an older brother to my great grandmother Virginia Warthen. I have some information on their family back to were several of the warthen researcher's are stuck at Walter G and Lucy (Rea) Warthen. I have very little on Martin's part of the Warthen tree.

I have a Martin Luther Warthen b 1836 in IN d abt 1880 and married inon 2 apr 1857 to Louisa Jane Barton who died abt 1880. They supposedly had 5 children: William B;Walter Samuel;Martin L; Wilson; and Sarah Florence. Does this resemble your information and can you add any details.

My Great Grandmother, Virginia, married (second Marriage) to a Jefferson Griswold and had a child Ida Griswold who later married William Martin Wicker my grandfather.

I'm always glad to meet family cousins and exchange information. There are several researchers doing work on the Illinois Warthens. Hope to hear from you.
