I am looking for information on my dads side of the family.
His gggrandpa was Jasper Warix born Sept. 8, 1841 in Knox Co TN. Jaspers death record states his father was Thomas Warix. No information on his father or earlier. Jasper married Mary Jane Cameron in Jefferson Co. TN on Aug. 3 1865 and they had about 10 kids. Jasper was in the Union Army from 1863 until 1864. He enlisted in Strawberry Plains TN 15 miles east of Knoxville. Jasper did not know how to read or write so his last name is probably spelled wrong. The family is thinking Warx,Warrick,Wyreck or something very similar. If any one knows of Jasper or his father, please let me know. Jasper died on 6-7-1914 in Obion Co. TN, the county where I now live.
