Wiatt Warrick - NC
Posted by: Ken Brantley Date: July 31, 2000 at 16:12:25

Am trying to identify the parents of Wiatt Warrick b 1763 who served in the Rev
He served as a private in Cpt. Benjamin Coleman's No. Carolina Co., and in Col. Lytle's 6th No. Carolina Rgmt; length of service ,one year
He was allowed pension on his application executed Aug. 19, 1818,at which time he was a resident of Wayne county, No. Car. and gave his age as 72 yrs. In 1820, he stated that he was aged 64 yrs. No explanation was made for the discrepancy in age. His name appears also as Wyatt and
Wiat Warrick and Worrick. He was pensioned as Wiatt Warrick
He was married Dec. 25 1790 in Wayne Co. No. Carolina or in Greene
County to a Sarah Wilson. He had been married previously and there are no
particulars in regard to his first wife.
His son Dempsey was my GG grandpa, but wecan find no connection
between he and Wiatt. Wiatt's father is listed somewhere as Blackman
Warrick, but again, I can find nothing to verify this.
There are references to a Cumberland And Sampson Counties, so maybe
there is something thereWiatt Warrick was born in 1763 and died Mar. 6, 1830
Sarah Wilson was born about 1767.
Dempsey Warrick was born about 1789.

If you can help, let me know.

Ken Brantley
