Go to p243 in Dr. Holland book he states that the James Warren in Person Co who may have been Samuel Jr. older brother first appeared in the county records in 1798 when he bought items from the estate of William Fulcler, the next door neighbor of Samuel Warren, Sr.
Fulchers plantation lay to the south and east of Samuel Sr, one of Fulchers daughter married a Warren family she named her son Pleasant Fulcher Warren, using this reference I believe Hedgeman Warren married a Fulcher and had Pleasant Fulcher Warren. At least that is the way I am reading his book.
In Dr. Holland book he does talk about a James Warren, Sr. and I also believe he was the s/o Hedgeman Warren I also believe Hedgeman was married to a Fulcher, could this be Mary Fulcher dau of William Fulcher?
I have also thought your Pleasent F Warren was a son of Hedgeman I have never been able to locate any information on him.
Hedgman Warren lived on the 125 Acres in Halifax until November 1779, he then purchased 160 acres in Caswell Co., NC on Shaws Mill Creek, the Virginia line. Hedgman Warren lived on the land until he died 1794 according to Dr. Holland. Hedgman Warren was born 1745 Spotsylvania
