Dear Michael Collier
My Intention is not to destoy anyones intgrity. Although It took me several phone calls to the Red Lake Nation and even contacting David Beaulieu a Professor and a relative of mine who I have never met but knows all about what I am telling you and so does Judy Beaulieu Of Red Lake. In fact they were going to see if hteir attorney could get Clara Niska's website shut down. That never happend and so all certain wrong information on certain families is still up there makes me mad cause I know what is and whats not. I have files comming from THE Bureu of Indian Affairs. They have made a mess out of the files at Cass Lake of course not alot of people like you would know the internal matters. For years lots and lots of years people have been wanting to straighten out the enrollment records there are people who should not even be on the rolls. That is another problem and of cousrse why would people want to get on the rolls can you guess why? So they can reap the bennys of being enrolled. Although right now only the Mississippi Chippewa'a band singed a treaty back in 1867 and they are the only members that have rights with that treaty and so the Pillagers, Lake Superiors, and Pembinas do not. This old war of fame and fighting goes back to 1836. I wish there was a way I could explain something else to you but I really dont want it posted cause it does involve something that is rather personal. So yeah it does get rather interesting to know that some people will go to great extents to change information. I dont like it but what can you do?
