Hi!
According to Heather Elliott you must have married the boyfriend you mentioned on the site. Your husband must be the great grandson of Harry. Harry was Heather's grandfather. Edna was Heather's mother and she died a few years ago.
If you click on my name you'll see my email address and you can send me a message direct.
Heather has been really good at finding all the info on the Warr's. I have another cousin in Toronto, James Murdoch, great grandson of Thomas Warr, son of Florence my father oldest sister. James's wife is really into the genealogy stuff as well and has sent me birth cert. and grave site photosfrom the Warr's that lived in Toronto.
I came along late in my parents life and the Warr family was not real close for some reason after I was born. They were scattered. Ada Warr I think ended up in the Detroit area so I never met her. Months would go by without hearing from my Uncle Ernest Warr. He never had any children and the aunts had very few and they are all gone now. There is only Ernest Murdoch in Deep River, who was the second oldest of Thomas Warr's grandchildren left. I am the youngest. I never knew my Warr Grandparents. They had died long before I was born.
I have lots of old photos. I have one great one in particular that I would love to have some id. all the members. There are about 30 people in the picture. It was taken sometime around 1890 to 1900. The problem is i don't know if it is the Hall side or the Warr side. I can id my grandmother Alice Warr(Hall) and it looks like some of the men are Warr family. It could be a combination of both sides. Computer reproduction of the photo makes it look better.
I take it that your husband does not really know much about the past Warr's. There are a lot of stories. Too many
to tell here.
David
