Colonial Virginia Warr's - English Origins
I would appreciate any information re: Thomas Warr, b. about 1650 in VA, d. about 1688 in Surry Co, VA, his wife, or any of his ancestors.I show he had one son, William, b. about 1685 in Surry Co, VA, d. about 1755 in Northampton Co, NC.Thomas Warr, Esquire, of London was named to counsil in the First Charter of the Virginia Company, 11/20/1606, by King James I.Thomas Warr, Esquire (probably the same individual) was listed by Capt. John Smith, in his book, Works, 1608 - 1631, as one of the "adventurerers" (sic) who traveled to Virginia in 1620.This Thomas may be a grandfather of Thomas born in VA.
I would greatly appreciate any input from my British cousins concerning Thomas Warr, Esq.
