Following is Parole of Honor given to my G Grandfather. Ohio records do not show him as a member of the "Ohio Volunteers".

Detroit August 18th - 1812
To all whom it may concern.
This is to certify that J.R. Callahan a teamster in the first Reg Ohio volunteers was wounded at the battle of Brownstown Upper Canada on the 5th of August 1812 by the bursting of a musket on the right hand and was taken prisoner and is hereby honorably discharged as a prisoner of war on parole of honor. Given under my hand at Detroit.
