Looking for the service record for Francis Spencer b. 14 Aug 1780 probably KY, d. 14 Aug 1874 Harrison Twp, Darke Co. OH. Francis was living in Cedarville Twp, Greene Co. OH when the war started. In a book Kentucky Soldiers of the War of 1812 there is a Francis Spencer listed with (I'm assuming) page 359. Would this be my Francis Spencer and what info would be on the page given?

I've also found U.S. Army Register of Enlistments 1798-1914 with the following info: 12 1/2 Spencer, Francis, Pvt, 28 U.S.I Enlistment: June 25/13, Period: 1 year, Remarks: M R Capt. Moores Co., Aug 23, Dec. 31/13 & Jany. 17/14.

Would the above be a KY company?

Were there any OH companies, regular army or militia?
