p.s., Mr. Johnson,
Perhaps in lieu of bantering back and forth with me here, you may want to hurry up and access the "new" information to which I led you, about the militia Company of Capt. Joseph Quigley....because it is nearly the 200th year anniversary of the "Skirmish on the Penninsula".... and you, being the future "Historian General" of this War's history, wouldn't want to overlook Capt. Quigley's Company's direct involvement in rescuing the soldiers who were abandoned upon the Peninsula by the "official" US military, now would you?
You have quite a lot of research to do, and not much time to do it.
I, and a lot of other Firelands area folks, will be interested to see if your final publication on this militia group's involvement here at that time. If you are not up to the task, however, kindly turn the project back over to me, and I can take it from here.
