Never did locate the book. Tried to check with the South Carolina state archives in case he donated his papers before his death. No luck. Really don't know where to turn. The National Archives informed me that my ancestor (Aaron Hinman) didn't even serve under Hayne (although his enlistment papers stated that). My ancestor was present on all muster and pay rolls under Capt. Asa Morgan, also of the 1st Dragoons. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Good luck!
