1812 military service by Simon Omo

My ancestor, Simon Omo was born in France in 1788, served under Napoleon Bonaparte and then after coming to America, he was drafted into the war of 1812 and served until its close. He settled in Ohio and died in Indiana in 1871. I have not been able to find him through any military records. Can you help?
