Sseymou Wheeler joined the U.S. Dragoons in 1812 in Red Hook, NY enlisted by Capt,. C. SMith. He was discharged in 1817 at Ft. Michillmacinac, MI Did the Dragoons participate in any battles? What would they have been doing at the fort in MI? This information was on line and it said see pension case but we couldn't get it up. I understand that all War of 1812 pension records aree at the Nastional Archives in Washington, DC Any information on Seymour would be appreciasted.
