Geri,
Thanks for your response and encouragement.I am looking for info on RICHARD PEBWORTH, of Princess Anne Co., Va.,who in the War of 1812 served as a private in the 20th REGIMENT OF VIRGINIA MILITIA and from July until Oct. 1814 served in the 4th REGT. CAV. OF VIRGINIA MILITIA.These records supposedly are in Roll box 161, roll-exct 602.I found this info. in Ancestry.com so someone must have accessed it at some point.I do not know what Roll box # and roll-exct. # mean.Form 80 provided no results.
RICHARD PEBWORTH is our ancestor but he has been my brick wall for years.I cannot find his parents even though I have put the early members of this family and their descendants together.
JOHN L. PEBWORTH also served in the 20th Regiment of Virginia Militia as did his brother REUBEN PEBWORTH.They were both the sons of William J. Pebworth, Jr. and Mary (Lovett).
I am looking for any information re: RICHARD PEBWORTH and any info re: the 20th Reg. of Va. Militia and the 4th Regt. Cav. of Va. Militia which may provide another clue for me.
Thank you,Clare
