BM,

Major George Darrow commanded an odd battalion in northern Portage County during the War of 1812. Summit County, in which Akron is located, was apart of Portage County during the war.

Since both Peter and his wife died before 1855, there would be no bounty lands, and since they both died before 1871, there would be no service pensions.

I checked the Old War pensions for those men who had died or were wounded & I did not see Peter's name. These pensions were issued during the war.

The only records for Peter would be his service record. Also in Darrow's battalion were Eber, Lebbeus, Seldon and Aaron Norton, probably relatives.
