Need record of Service for John Barry of Tennessee in War of 1812

Need service record for the War of 1812 for John Barry who lived in Tennessee. He was born @ 1750 in Ireland. Not to be confused with the Father of American Navy, John Barry. Family lore says he died in the war in Mobile, Alabama. Cannot find any record of his service or a record of his death in the war or where he is buried. Cannot find records for pension for widows for Margaret Cook Barry. Thanks for any help. Marie Anderson
