HI John,
If you're still posting to the War of 1812 subject and have a WILDER connection in AL or TN during that time frame, would you let me know ?
I'm looking for a record of two of my 3GGF- John Wilder & Uriah Jordan - on roll for (West)TN Soldiers. John Wilder & Uriah Jordan were both on the MS Terr Tax Census in Madison Co. (now AL), MS Terr. in 1809-11 and may have been in the following TN units:
[NOTE: I see Uriah Jordan there, but not John Wilder ]
JORDAN URIAHCAPT. KERR'S CP., MTD. RANGERS, TENNSESSE.PRIVATE PRIVATE114 602
JORDAN URIAHRUSSELL'S SEPARATE BATT'N, MTD. GUNMEN, TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS.PRIVATE PRIVATE114 602
Later on, Uriah Jordan's daughter Cenia Jordan mar. John Wilder and the couple moved to Shelby Co, AL. Both men patented land there abt. 1824.
Thanks,
Martha in AL
