Just wanted to ask if you received an answer to your post. Haddril's Point was near Charleston. On Robert Mills Atlas of Charleston District (1823) it appears as the point near Mt. Pleasant. I would guess it was where the base of the Cooper River Bridge might have stretched in more recent years. At any rate, it was the point of land near Mt. Pleasant, across from Charleston.Charles Fraser, the artist, painted it. Henry Laurens was exchanged their as a prisoner of the British. It was noted as a location on one of the census pages I was checking. I was not familiar with it and then I came across the entry for Charles Fraser painting it. He was a famous miniature portrait and landscape artist in Charleston from around 1800-1840.
Hope this helps,
Nancy
